The Kitten at Play Summary In English 1

The poem ‘The Kitten play’ is written by William Wordsworth. The kitten crouches, stretches, paws and darts in the morning. The name of the kitten here described by the poet is Tabby. It plays with the withered leaves that fall down from an old tree.

The kitten is playing with leaves in the calm, cold morning on a day in winter. She leaps like a tiger and catches a falling leaf only to let it go and again catch it back as fast as she could. The poet compares the kitten with an Indian conjuror. It gracefully plays its part without out caring even if thousands of people watched.
