Question 4.
Wangjia was face to face with three monsters. Each monster had his own wish. Wangjia too had a wish. What contrast do you draw between the wishes of the monster and the wish of Wangjia? What does the folk-tale suggest with this contrast?
Answer:
The first monster wanted Wangjia to kill Lousang’s mother. The second monster wanted him to poison old gaffer silong and third monster wanted Bhima’s eye balls. All the monsters wished death, destruction and cruelty, but Wangjia told that he loved his mother and he was fond of his grandpa.

He also told that no one has the right to destroy a girl’s pretty eyes. When we look at the wish of Wangjia we find that killing, destroying, or inflicting cruelty are not good’. Love, kindness, mutual love and compassion are always human traits. So the folk tale suggests that one should love all. One should give up all selfish desires and work together for the good of all.
